At the end of the 1st lap most gaps had halved, as intended, with the exception of the 11 min bunch who were at
breaking point & almost on next bunch. On the 2nd lap limit wasn’t caught till late in the race with Ann making
a valiant attempt to stay away. Andy finished 2 min behind the winner at 2:07:45. Race was pretty well together
between Gooseneck & Telephone Exchange with the exception of scratch. Scratch had self – destructed early in
the 1st lap, losing Hucker early & Bobridge & Decker at the end of the 1st lap. Southam joined the wounded
soon after, leaving Pell in serious danger of missing F/T. He was most surprised to learn he had still got it
