Racing started at Emu Creek with Robert Oakenfull taking line honours in front of Brae Mapson from Castlemaine and Tasman Nankervis in third place, stage two took in the rolling hills around Nth Harcourt, Tasman Nankervis showed his liking for the hills by gaining a 23 second buffer over Robert Oakenfull in this stage, other good rides were put in by Julien Thomson and Alexander Evans. Racing resumed at 10.00am on Sunday starting with a criterium at Mayfair Park, here Brae Mapson showed he was finding form again by winning the bunch sprint to claim the time bonus, second place went to Robert Oakenfull.
Tasman Nankervis was third, the Bate brothers, Archie and Charlie were putting in determined efforts with Andrew McIntosh not far off the pace. The IRTT saw Tasman Nankervis show his class again by recording a time of 5min 3 sec for the 2.5km, taking another 5 sec out of Robert Oakenfull and 18sec out of Brae Mapson. Stage 5 was around the junior championship circuit, Brae Mapson finished the tour by winning the last stage from Tasman Nankervis who won the overall tour and Robert Oakenfull who took second place overall. Final Placings for the U11/13.
1st Place, Tasman Nankervis; 2nd Place, Robert Oakenfull; 3rd Place, Brae Mapson; 4th Place, Alexander Evans .
The windy conditions broke the field up early with Sam Crome showing his strength by winning from Sam O'Dea and Elijah Kettle from Echuca. The afternoon stage proved to be just as difficult with rolling hills and a slight breeze, Sam Crome and Sam O'Dea settled down for a duel while Elijah Kettle battled on by himself, while the younger riders in Madison Leske, Rennie Lucas and Eamon Jackson put in great efforts to complete the stage.
The criterium at Mayfair Park showed that Sam Crome was in good form, Crome hit the front and kept going with Sam O'Dea in pursuit, Rennie Lucas and Madison Leske put in very good performances and took out 4th and 5th placings, Sam Crome increased his lead over Sam O'Dea by winning the criterium and claiming more time bonuses, Eamon Jackson battled hard to take out 6th place. Sam Crome won the IRTT from Sam O'Dea with Elijah Kettle in third, Rennie Lucas 4th, Madison Leske 5th and Eamon Jackson 6th.
The final stage saw Sam Crome once again dominate, he attacked early and took Elijah Kettle with him to open up a gap to Sam O'Dea, this gap was too big for O'Dea to close and at the finish.
Sam Crome took line honours as well as Tour winner, 2nd place in the tour went to Sam O'Dea, Elijah Kettle 3rd, Rennie Lucas 4th,Madison Leske 5th and Eamon Jackson 6th.
12 riders competed in this division, Toni Abbisogni started well with a win at Emu Creek in front of Liam Harland from Echuca with Russell Nankervis in third. The hills at Nth Harcourt mean't hard work for the riders and the climb to the finish up on Mt Alexander had the legs screaming.
Toni Abbisogni proved too determined for the rest and took out the stage from Russell Nankervis and Liam Harland third, others to put in good rides were Joel Hansen, Kessa Jelbart, Matt Kirby and Clea O'Brien from Mansfield.
The riders fronted up on Sunday for a criterium in sunny conditions, the pace was solid from the start, in the bunch finish Liam Harland proved too strong, Imogen Jelbart took second and showed she,s getting her fitness back and Joesph Flood showed he was still around with third place. In the IRTT only a second divided first and second place,Toni Abbisogni took honours from Liam Harland while Russell Nankervis took third, Joesph Flood put in another good ride to take 4th place.
The fifth stage proved to be the best race of the tour with the bunch staying together around the hilly course, Joel Hansen, Liam Harland tried to break away during the race but the other riders didn,t want anyone to make a break, at the finish 9 riders took part in the sprint with Liam Harland winning from Joesph Flood in 2nd and Russell Nankervis in 3rd, Toni Abbisogni won the 2Day tour form Russell Nankervis and Liam Harland in third place.
Stage one saw Sam Conder win the bunch sprint from Josh Tepper,George Tansley and Natham Omen from Echuca. Stage two took in the gruelling finish up Mt Alexander, after 4 laps of the Harcourt circuit there was a bunch of 7 riders to hit the hill, Natham Omen proved too good and took line honours ahead of Josh Tepper, George Tansley was third and Brandon Asplin from Horsham was fourth. The criterium at Mayfair Park was set to be run in a fast pace, eight riders stayed together to fight out the sprint with Natham Omen proving to quick from Josh Tepper, Sam Conder placed third and George Tansley was fourth, the IRTT was the make or break for some riders and George Tansley rode a 4.17 to put his bid for glory in, Josh Tepper came home in a 4.17 also, but Natham Omen rode a 4.10 to seal a win and also enhanced his position at the top of the leader board for Division One.
At the last stage Natham Omen held a 9 second lead over Josh Tepper and 13 second lead over George Tansley, as the race progressed it was evident that no one was going to get away so the pack settled in for a bunch sprint for line honours, Micah Leske stole a jump on the field and powered to a stage win while Natham Omen took second ahead of Josh Tepper and George Tansley fourth, other good performances for the weekend were Brandon Asplin, Sam Conder, Todd Schintler and Justin Kennedy from Boort.
